The tale of New York Pizzeria unfolds in post-World War 2 Italy, where the dreams of my parents, Franco and Giovanna Vezza, led them to the United States. In the 1960s, they laid the groundwork for our family legacy, seeking new opportunities in America. By 1995, our dream materialized with the acquisition of New York Pizzeria in Richfield Springs. Guided by family friend Lorenzo Pumilia's pizza expertise and supported by current manager Patrick Sutton, pizza became the heartbeat of our family.
In 2009, fueled by our culinary passion, we expanded to Cooperstown. With Arthur Boden as the general manager, bringing over 20 years of food service experience, New York Pizzeria smoothly entered a new market. Cooperstown embraced us, mirroring the warmth of Richfield Springs years prior. Committed to quality, tradition, and community, New York Pizzeria is more than a pizzeria—it's an integral part of the Cooperstown experience. Join us in crafting stories through the art of pizza, celebrating family, tradition, and the joy of sharing authentic Italian flavors.
